Agree to Disagree

Not really sure , just what to say
When thoughts of agreement , seem going astray

You say it's red , I call it white
Whatever the color ,  just doesn't seem right

Anger , resentment , and all those wrong things
Just build up annoyance , in my ears , it still rings

Just as fingerprints , are so unique
So is the way , that we critique

We hear the words , and cannot decide
To stand in and fight , or turn , run and hide

A simple fact , that we agree
On most of what , you say to me

The time and energy , excessive compliance
Our difference of opinion , phenomenal reliance ...

Is what makes our , connection so grand
That when we squabble , you're holding my hand

The way that you look , in the eyes that are red
And letting me know , that we'll soon be in bed

Forgiving , forgetting , the continuous dread
While kissing my lips , we forget what was said

I need and I love you , this much is so true
That while disagreeing  , we know what to do

As time marches on , troubles soon come to light
That you're still beside me , and we have a fair fight
