Analysis of Destiny is Space

As babes extend their little hands,
Rise up on tiny feet,
So our race reached out to space,
With dreams of greater deeds.

We know there's no man on moon,
Or Martian men to meet,
We may not soon reach alien worlds,
To stroll their emerald streets.

For now the engines that propel
Are wanting, slow, quite weak,
Yet ingenuity of man compels,
To accomplish ingenious feats.

Gagarin took his brave first leap,
Alan Shepard joined the race,
From Canaveral and Baikanur men trekked,
With ever increasing pace.

The weightless void all around,
So hostile, dark and cold.
Yet destiny, it manifests,
To those, who dare be bold.

Soyuz, Apollo, brave new start,
Together we'll go far,
Collaboration reaps rewards,
In time we'll reach next star.

Discoveries waiting to be made,
What will tomorrow bring our race?
Will new horizons soon be reached,
And humans settle space?
