Analysis of Love in the time of covid

We spoke of life, and lies, and loss
of loving and of lust
Out trials and tribulations
A testament to trust.

Good sense we weren't akin to
On practical we passed
This thing we'd entered into
Was it ever made to last?

Promises and pledges
Stirred passion and desire
Wondrous wilful wantonness
Fuelled our carnal fire

With heart and mind now intertwined
Consummation we beseech
The physical,though well defined
Remains beyond our reach

Emotions e're remarked on
Constraints cannot deny
Our voyage unembarked on
Has left us high and dry.
