Analysis of Ma vieille pipe
Maurice Rollinat 1846 (Châteauroux) – 1903 (Ivry-sur-Seine)
Quand j’ai ma pipe en merisier,
Toute mon âme se parfume ;
Et je la fume et la refume,
Sans pouvoir me rassasier.
Cet automne, à son cher brasier,
J’ai nargué le vent et la brume.
Quand j’ai ma pipe en merisier
Toute mon âme se parfume.
Elle n’a qu’un tuyau d’osier ;
Mais les vers coulent de ma plume,
Toutes les fois que je l’allume,
Et j’ai de quoi m’extasier,
Quand j’ai ma pipe en merisier.
