Analysis of De dandse med Castagnetter

Hans Christian Andersen 1805 (Odense) – 1875 (Copenhagen)

De dandse med Castagnetter,
    det er den hele Musik;
De see hinanden i Øiet,
    det er en berusende Drik.

De hvirvle sig som Mænader,
    alt i den strengeste Takt;
O hvilken uendelig Skjønhed
    er dog i et Menneske lagt!

En Nellike og en Granatblomst!
    i Dandsen de leve og groe.
I, som bleve Konstens Udkaarne,
    beseir i Dandsen de To.
