Analysis of Overcome

I sit through the storm
With coffee in hand
Thinking of life
And all I had planned

Long were the hours
I worked this farm hard
Now counting the cost
As my fields are all scarred

The hopes that was there
Now lost in a night
The strength to survive
Will come with a fight

But of all that is lost
From a life working dirt
Your hand in my hand
Overcomes any hurt.
