Analysis of Verve
Daughter was a cheerleader beauty,
blonde effervescence,
petite strength,
tossed up in adolescent flight.
Friday night football games,
boyfriend faded into nostalgia's
mist of mellow memories.
Twenty-three years gone,
now a Mom in her early forties
with children in their spring
of life.
When mother's duties tire
her more easily,
high school moments -
oh, those times are reborn,
verve.
