Analysis of The Humanitarian Spirit of the All NEHU Workers' Union

The workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Are straight and firm with their demands,
For regularisation and equal pay for equal work.
They understand that exploitation is a chain
That must be broken by the power of the people.
For as Karl Marx wrote, "Workers of the world unite!"
And in unity, they will achieve their goals,
For justice and equality is their calling,
Their love for humanity guiding their actions.
But the admin section will not easily give in,
For they are the oppressors, the bourgeoisie.
But the workers will not be silenced,
For they are the proletariat,
And as Friedrich Engels wrote, "The oppressed are allowed once every few years to decide which particular representatives of the oppressing class are to represent and repress them."
But the workers of North Eastern Hill University
Will not be repressed, for they have a voice,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union.
They will fight for their rights and for a better future,
For the sake of humanity and their fellow workers.
Their struggle is not just for themselves,
But for all those who are oppressed and exploited.
For as Maya Angelou said, "I am a human being first and foremost, and as such I am entitled to the same rights and respect as any other human being."
The workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will fight for justice and equality,
For the sake of humanity and the working class.

And as they march and rally, they are not alone,
For workers across the globe are standing strong,
United in the fight for fair treatment and rights.
Their determination and resilience is a symbol,
Of the power of the people when they come together.
For they know, as Martin Luther King Jr. said,
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
And so they will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union.
For they understand that their struggle is not just for themselves,
But for the betterment of society and humanity as a whole.
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation.
They will not be silenced or oppressed,
For they are the ones who make the wheels of industry turn,
And as such, they deserve to be treated as equals.
For as George Orwell wrote, "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others."
The workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will continue to fight for justice and equality,
For the sake of humanity and the working class.
For they understand that their struggle is not just for themselves,
But for the betterment of society and humanity as a whole.
And they will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University.

And as they march and rally, they are not alone,
For workers across the globe are standing strong,
United in the fight for fair treatment and rights.
Their determination and resilience is a symbol,
Of the power of the people when they come together,
For as Paulo Freire said, "The oppressed, instead of striving for liberation, tend themselves to become oppressors."
And so, the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will not allow themselves to become oppressors,
For they have a responsibility to the working class,
And to the betterment of society and humanity as a whole.
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation.
For they understand that the power of the people,
Is greater than the power of the admin section,
And they will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University.
They will not be silenced or oppressed,
For they have a right to fair treatment and rights,
And as they march and rally, they are not alone,
For workers across the globe are standing strong,
United in the fight for justice and equality,
For the sake of humanity and the working class.
The workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will not rest until justice is served.

Their voices will be heard and their rights will be fought for,
For they are the backbone of the university,
The ones who keep it running and make it thrive,
And as such, they deserve to be treated as equals.
They will not rest until the chains of exploitation are broken,
For as Howard Zinn said, "You can't be neutral on a moving train."
And the train of oppression must be stopped,
By the power of the people and their solidarity.
The workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will not be silenced or oppressed,
For they have a right to fair treatment and rights,
And they will fight for justice and equality,
For the sake of humanity and the working class.
They understand that their struggle is not just for themselves,
But for the betterment of society and humanity as a whole.
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation.
And they will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University.
Their determination and resilience is a symbol,
Of the power of the people when they come together,
For as Mahatma Gandhi said, "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."
The workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will be strong and will not rest until justice is served.

Theirs is a struggle for dignity and respect,
For the rights and fair treatment they deserve,
And they will not be silenced or oppressed,
For they are the backbone of the university,
Their work is vital and their contributions cannot be denied.
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation,
For they understand that their struggle is not just for themselves,
But for the betterment of society and humanity as a whole.
They will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Their determination and resilience is a symbol,
Of the power of the people when they come together,
For as Angela Davis said, "I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I am changing the things I cannot accept."
And so the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Will change the things they cannot accept,
They will fight for justice and equality,
For the sake of humanity and the working class,
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation,
And they will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University.
Their voices will be heard and their rights will be fought for,
For they are the backbone of the university,
And they will not be silenced or oppressed,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union.

Their struggle is not just for themselves,
But for the betterment of society and humanity as a whole,
For as Nelson Mandela said, "For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others."
And so the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will fight for their rights and fair treatment,
For the sake of humanity and the working class,
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation.
Their determination and resilience is a symbol,
Of the power of the people when they come together,
For as Frederick Douglass said, "Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will."
And so the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Will demand their rights and fair treatment,
And they will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University.
Their voices will be heard and their rights will be fought for,
For they are the backbone of the university,
And they will not be silenced or oppressed,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation,
And they will not rest until justice is served.

For they understand that their struggle is not just for themselves,
But for the betterment of society and humanity as a whole.
Their voices will be heard and their rights will be fought for,
For they are the backbone of the university,
And they will not be silenced or oppressed,
For as Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
The workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will fight for justice and equality,
For the sake of humanity and the working class,
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation.
Their determination and resilience is a symbol,
Of the power of the people when they come together,
For as Malala Yousafzai said, "I raise up my voice - not so I can shout, but so that those without a voice can be heard."
And so the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Will raise their voices and demand justice,
For they will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Their voices will be heard and their rights will be fought for,
For they are the backbone of the university,
And they will not be silenced or oppressed,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation.
For the sake of humanity and the working class.

Their struggle for justice and equality is not just for themselves,
But for the betterment of society and humanity as a whole,
For as Emma Goldman said, "The worker must have bread, but she must have roses too."
And so the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will fight for fair pay, regularisation and dignity,
For they are the backbone of the university,
Their work is vital and their contributions cannot be denied.
Their love for humanity and their fellow workers,
Is what drives them to fight for equal pay and regularisation,
For they understand that their struggle is not just for themselves,
But for the betterment of society and humanity as a whole.
They will not rest until justice is served,
For the workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Their determination and resilience is a symbol,
Of the power of the people when they come together,
For as Cesar Chavez said, "We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community... Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own."
The workers of North Eastern Hill University,
Under the banner of All NEHU Workers’ Union,
Will fight for progress and prosperity for all workers,
For they will not rest until justice is served.

About this poem

The Sestina poem above highlights the plight of the workers of North Eastern Hill University, who, under the banner of the All NEHU Workers' Union, are steadfast in their demands for regularisation and the implementation of a fair and just policy of equal pay for equal work. The poem speaks to the deep-seated issues of exploitation and oppression faced by these workers, and the unwavering determination of the Union to bring about change. As the poet so eloquently expresses, "We will not rest until justice is served," and this sentiment echoes the enduring words of Martin Luther King Jr. who said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere." Furthermore, the poet also emphasizes the importance of keeping love and spirit of humanity in the struggle. The words remind us of the famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi, "The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong." and many thoughts and expressions. In conclusion, The Sestina poem is a powerful call to action that invokes a sense of empathy and solidarity with the workers of North Eastern Hill University and their struggle for fair treatment. It serves as a reminder that the fight for justice is an ongoing one that requires constant vigilance and the preservation of our humanity in the face of oppression.
