Analysis of I AM!
I AM
a mess, I must confess, my fate is anybody's guess
As you can see the whole of me does little to
Impress
While the sum of the parts, in fits and starts
Amounts to even
Less
I AM
diminished, demeaned, degenerate!
With little self control
No longer master of my fate, or captain of my
soul.
I AM
All but done my race is run
In self pity I shall wallow
Stripped of ego and of pride
Inside, I am now hollow
I AM
For what it's worth, I wish the earth had opened up and swallowed me
Now of course, without remorse
My shadow has unfollowed me
I AM
At best a three or four maybe just a two
I'd grant myself a higher score
But I AM nothing without YOU!
