Analysis of Take That

Boom boom
Jab to the eye

Bam bam
Watch you cry

Sorry if I lied
Sorry I forgot to hide

But let’s be honest
I know you don’t try your hardest

You tell me to let it out
So don’t be surprised when I shout

Now you are scared and you want to call
Funny because I don’t remember that at all

Last night I said I might
Lose it all, that I’d fall

Where were you
What’d you do

Nothing
So what if it hurts

You are the worst
Tell me to zoom you?

Shove it up your
You little piece of trash

Sorry that was really mean
But I still feel unseen

So imma just keep going
Listen to these words I’m throwing

Why do you suddenly care
Why’d you shut up when I’m there

Why’d you hide your struggles
Man, you really fumbled

Lost the ball
Call a foul

Come back later
Still a hater

Sorry I was super rude
You’re going through somethin but I’ve got no clue

Snapped back
Cut the slack

Sorry for hurting you
I know it’s good to let it out

But the guilt I feel
Oh man it’s real

Friends should be there for one another
But friends shouldn’t hurt each other

Is it Different

Haven’t fought in years
Haven’t had friends make me shed tears

So does that mean this is wrong
Does this mean you should be gone

I thought we were meant for each other
But when around you, my emotions I try to smother

I lash out, I hurt you
I swear I never meant to

I am there by your side
I support you even though you may hide

So why do I lash out
Why do I fight

Why do I hate what I love
Why do I ruin what was given from above

I’m scared one day that it’ll be my fault
That one day I would have fought

I would have pushed you too far
I would have give you too many scars

I can’t imagine the damage I have done
It’s worse than being shot with a gun

The guilt I hold it’s burying me
I never meant to be

Such a jerk I know I’m the worst
I never meant to break you down

I’m gunna cry
For the first time

Because I don’t want to lose you
I know it’s no excuse to

But I push you away because I’m scared you’ll get close
I’m scared you’ll see and then you’ll leave

But I hurt you in the process and it’s not okay
I don’t know what to say

Please forgive me please don’t hurt
Jesus Christ, take away those words

Take away the sass
Lord give her back

I can’t live like that
And that’s a fact

About this poem

What happened when I was trying to hurt my friend and direct my anger at her. The second part is about my regret at what I’ve done.
