Analysis of Beer and Weed

I am stoned
And I want a beer.
But the children are sleeping
And you are not here.
I have a thirst
To get tipsy,
Because smoking weed
Makes me ditsy.
Without a beer
I am not grown,
Just a young adult
Who's very stoned.
Drinking some booze
And toking some weed,
Is all the gateway
Anyone would need.
So you see there's this problem
That I seem to have,
I have not a beer
No alcohol, in fact.
A quick run to the store
Would hastily fix my need,
Of enjoying a good buzz
Of beer and weed.
But with no sitter around
And the children about,
I'm afraid I cannot leave
I cannot go out.
So without further adieu
Of this I shall say,
Always have a beer available
Especially for such a day.

About this poem

This is the first and only comical poem I had ever written. While it's reference is very clear and quite complacent, it does have a nice rhythm and rhyme while being bold in humor.
