Analysis of For one moment in time

For one moment in time
I held you in my hands
A silent moment we had alone
Your life essence fallen like sand
Life in your eyes was gone
Before anyone could see them shine
The pain in heart was mine
Your pain was gone with your last breath
Before air was yours
No debts to ever settle
No one would be keeping score
I visit your memorial with no one
Rare your name is known
By the bustle of busy people
On the streets hurrying as they go
Commerce continues
With not one beat skipped
The only commerce you paid
Was the doctor, hospital, funeral, and grave
Memorial statues illuminate your nameplate so your known
By a world that tries forgetting you before you ever showed
I do not forget you
I love you and miss who you might be
If I were given the chance to know you
A bright boy the world will never see
Except me
And your family
Goodbye my son
I will see you again
