Analysis of Finding your equilibrium

Here is the dichotomy of pain and joy
You either feel one or the other

You recognize pain from the pale mornings,
Or the urge to run away from everyone and cry desolate in your room because pain demands intimacy

But joy is loud
It looks like spring or a young woman in love-
Overall, joy is like the night before a big trip

But if there’s a state of satisfaction of the now- choose it
This is what contentment is
Seeking contentment might feel like trying to balance a pen on your index finger
It takes a few tries and when you find an equilibrium it requires you to hold still for a bit because if you lose that equilibrium it could fall on either side

If it falls to the side of joy
Embrace it
And if it falls to the side of pain
Don’t wallow in it
And in this way you master contentment

But I truly hope you find your equilibrium
I hope your hand is steady enough to hold onto the good days
And I hope your focus is geared in the right direction in order to be comfortable with whatever side the pen falls to
