Analysis of The Desert Vultures

THE DESERT VULTURES
Desert vultures that eclipse the day,
And forces stars and moon to loose firm grip of the sky they clutched.
Against the sun the vultures struck like comet,
Shattering torture like Chinese ceramics compassionless,
With condolence messages to animals and entire earthmen below,
But in spite of this hopelessness, men dare not the supernatural power of God to save.

Vultures! Vultures!! Vultures!!!
After the carcass,
Before you devour the skeleton, remember the Eagle.
He that must feast on monkey’s flesh should first count monkey’s fingers.
Plaque is earthmen companion round the clock,
And left only God’s fortification and men’s innate intelligence to take them through,
Genuine love is in dilemma in the mist of denials and betrayals.
Baobab trees for fear of imminent draught in totality shed its leaves.

Pool of tears formed oceans, to God my prayers take,
Menawashei my unreserved condolence, Eagle my compliment
Life is less than a cup of Helba and Shayi without sugar for taste,
How many drums of water can rinse your blood-spattered claws?
Baskets of wants intrude their dwellings unchallenged,
And for eternity their losses count all day long without impede,
As if to Lucifer their lamentations and prayers go.

Women preserve their social diffidence in veil as gender inequality still prevails.
Common dining and toil is observed, but from the back doors, women are relegated to peep,
Internally displaced persons governs the internationally displaced,
As if in their respective countries,  general buoyancy triumphs.
Attention Eagle! If you want to wash an old woman’s underpants,
Disgusting stenches should surprise you not.

Dreams are Camels and horses for haulage,
Meat and Sadiq-breads are foot mats as life depends on it
Two identical umbilical cords against it selves, water is thicker than blood.
In total insecurity and physiological stress, men find time to laugh in Tombola.
And thereafter, in their dissimilar tiny hot tents they retire, keeping bones for the day relaxed.

Alas Eagle! Alas Eagle!! The heavy weight I hail,
But Beware of birds that dances at the center of the part, its drummers are within.
Notwithstanding the UNPOL miscellaneous religious affiliation, UNAMID our pivot
UNAMID personnel from diverse cultures and religious bond congregates,
Breeding mixed cultures for the world to emulate for universal unity.
But AK47ners appeal to espouse their cultural values.

Millions of Tuktuks operates and in whites, Traffic Police administrates.
Sheikks and Umdas struggle for preeminence in their domains,
With the former abandoning religious role for politics, and indict the later of corruption,
Making mockery and irrelevance of the latter’s institution on the psyche of their citizens
Many dollars without social life for peacekeepers to the advantage of their next of kin left behind.

Tummy satisfaction and eyes kept white not red by order.
Most animal’s right is being denied but UNAMID still struggles to restore human’s theirs.
House concealing roofs abound in an unfriendly Habub that changes flight dates.
As above our heads in minutes white Eagle baptized pakapaka fly,
Displaying UNAMID inscriptions on its fuselage for the Janjaweeds and GOS to be warned

Camouflage uniforms and arm cuddle is familiar due to protracted military rule and wars
I wonder what the GOS Police pass through day after day for the law to be kept.
What a nation is this with well-built security tentacles and constitution without loopholes.
Flat land, wider than inhabitants, like Nigeria multiplied by three and add.
Is it really suicidal to be lawful in a lawless environment?
Cultural relativism for Ethnocentrism is the recipe
Albeit, United Nations na soja go, soja come.

Prepared by Assist Supt N. I Albert, UN number CP-03009 (as he then was) A United Nations police Adviser and CPC Coordinator for Menawashei in Sector South Nyala, Darfur, and Sudan.2009-2010.
