Analysis of BAPAK NENE (Paternal Grand Mother)

BAPAK NENE (Paternal grandmother)

Nene, I do still remember Udahamulla (name place) and you
With fond memories my mind goes through.

You left us, having reached Three Score and Six
When I was a fledging 15, groping in a teenage fix.

You were the family Oak tree
Like an anchor in the ocean be.

Your pension day, gave us grand children joy
For you bought us gifts and sweets to enjoy.

At night you made us sleep with enchanting stories
Stories, we kept on asking you repeatedly for memories.

We looked forward to the school holidays
To spend the days in your embrace every day.

Dreaming of the sweetmeats from the Palmyra tree you prepared
We waited for the ripen fruit to fall as you, for our happiness cared.

Nene, your role and responsibility did you perform
With God Almighty's expectations, did you warm?

We pray to the lord to take care in heaven, of you
In eternity , will see you through.

Your labors deserve sweet reward!
You came to us in destiny and reached in due measure, the abode of the Lord.
