Analysis of Says the Snowflake of the Snow: “I and My Father Are One!”
Karl Constantine FOLKES 1935 (Portland)
Each earthly being
is like a snowflake,
unique and entire
unto itself…
now intertwining…
now commingling
in conformation
to create…
a luxurious bounty
of heavenly snow…
together…
Heaven ‘n Earth…
rejoicing…
in hymnic praise:
“I and my Father…
are One!”

About this poem
AS ABOVE SO BELOW: Just as each snowflake is uniquely and independently created, yet when clustered, becomes transformed in metamorphosis uniquely as heavenly snowfall, so likewise is each human being uniquely and independently created, yet when congregated as one singular race of people, becomes transformed in metamorphosis uniquely and divinely as equal and inseparable members of the same one family of Homo Sapiens. Let us as a people uphold and live up to our nation’s motto of E Pluribus Unum: “Out of Many, One!”
