Analysis of Overfed

I step on the scale
And feel like I failed
The number is healthy,
But I still hate my belly

My face falls
And I recall
The day my "friend"
Called me "overfed"

I turn to the mirror,
Stepping nearer,
And study my gut
From the side, from the front

I weigh one-twenty-seven,
I know that I'm thin
But in my head,
I'm still overfed.
