Analysis of THE SERVANT OF GOD

Oh, how voiceless your words,
yet words as loud
a sound as loud could sound,
how you thick to your orders
from the lips of your lone maker,
and how timely your faithful surrender.

you speak yet unseen,
the scolding sermons
of your lips, off pulpits.
and humanity tamed
by the chains that freed you.

oh, how you remind me
of vainness of life,
of the infinitesimal time,
when I yearn to save a dime
when I feel the world is mine.

oh, true servant of your maker,
faithful steward of life,
of pain and man alike.
if man can trail your foot
and live a day than two,
then death will be as good.

About this poem

The Poem is about death. How death is the only faithful servant of God. How death can be fulfilling when life is lived based on what needs to be done.
