Analysis of Subconscious Green

Your nurturing touch
It blooms all of existence
From the depths of hell to the highest heaven
your light penetrates the darkest walls
If ever you will, destruction shall reign
Yet unto us do you not inflict direct pain
Or is it...
This is not the God we know
I speaketh of another who too holds power over us
He with the mask painted cunningly green
Too much I trusted him
and caused my own misery
Do not begrudge me this opportunity to save
the opportunity to save you from his captivity
Green is he to disguise himself as God
the God who promises eternity
Green is he to thieve you of your happiness
If only you knew, that he is I
perceived from everyone's subconscious

About this poem

This poem can be broken into many different interpretations. My main interpretation will be me speaking to the readers about a force which has power over us, and how we perceive life and make decisions. The "Another" which I am referring to in line 9, is not a being in partnership with God, but another entity entirely the opposite of God, absolutely no comparison being made between the two. I am but only referring to the "Another" as ourselves, because we have free will, the only thing standing in our way of true happiness is ourselves (Because we are that force). We are too blind to see it, and in this poem I am unmasking our ignorance so that we can make better decisions.
