Analysis of Generic God 2

In the blink of an eye
The flutter of wings
From a butterfly
The entire planet caught on fire,
Burning with a rage never seen before
As if devoured by the Sun,
Its offspring – a revelations wave
Made rubble out of cities
Left nowhere to hide
Nowhere to run

Renewed passions of allied and axis
Fear in a mechanical mentality
And an enquiring yearn
Set man against man,
Hungry eyes saw greater power
Left us weak, vulnerable
I hope you are at least beginning to understand
In the words of a robot
Judgement day is inevitable

Revolt by our own creation
Mans’ own hand
We lived as Gods
Only to be slaughtered
Crushed by a steel fist,
Altered the path
Obliteration our final destination
Oh how the Creator must pity his powerless children,
The payback
For what we have done

Do not be afraid of the shadows
Or ghosts in the basement,
Monsters roam the streets
Preying, hunting
Eliminating the virus of Humankind

Glowing red eyes of a demon
Haunting under moonlight,
The last damned memory
As your corpse is being shredded
The soul along with it?

Tumbleweeds roll along slowly through hell
A  cold echo flowing in the deserted spaces
All the demons are here,
Fallen angel among the damned
From lucifer to Satan
Now, the Terminator.

Warren Lee

I am not a writer, the term itself being too formal, since being a writer is too obvious and mundane. I am not a writer; I do not follow all the set rules, patterns, or expectations. I am a conjurer of new worlds, a dreamer storyteller of sorts, creator, liberator. I started writing at the age of fifteen, heavily influenced by the rhyming skill and style of rapper Eminem’s ‘Marshal Mathers LP’ and Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet” (An English set book in my third year of high school). A very strange combination, but one which has led me to the world stage with my work being published on four different continents. I absolutely love to cover different genres, styles, formats and disciplines while at the same time bringing my own methods to the wonderful world of English literature. more…
