Analysis of A Choice
Keeping a still stance,
When I stopped my body from indifferently turning the other way
Keeping a straight face,
When all the things they spout are ridiculously inexplicable
Keeping a strained smile,
While I grit my teeth suppressing the stinging machete, yearning to escape my lips
Keeping my hands clutched,
When I wish I could bang their rock-hard heads, knocking some sense into them
Keeping a steady breath,
When all I want is to errupt and burn them to ashes
Letting in a deep breath,
As I pacify the deafening ignorance and insouciance crowding my head
Opening my ears,
As I permit their words, their cluelessness, to poke my concern
Nodding my head,
As I listen and decipher the wired thoughts running wild in their heads
Holding out my hands,
As I pat them in the back and dissipate the superfluous words and acts
Drawing a truthful smile,
As I slowly kill their blunders and seeping seeds of wisdom in their hearts
Fixing my stance,
As I get myself ready to serve and share my insights.
For what's use of wisdom if it's ignored?
And what's use of wisdom, if not shared?

About this poem
I wrote this just to share what I go through everyday, fighting my own thoughts, as a teacher, or even generally as a human being dealing with miscellanous acts. Our choices, our actions reflect who we truly are. We are all a bit selfish inside, but I believe what we decide to do despite knowing our own selfishness is what matters most.
