Analysis of No More
It happens behind closed doors,
Hardly ever happens in front of witnesses,
One is too scared to talk,
The other thinking, they are untouchable,
Mentally and physically abused,
Isolated from friends and family.
Being told “you have nowhere to go”,
“No one will help you no one wants you”, Do not listen that is a fallacy,
Find the courage, find the strength,
Call 999, reach out to a neighbour,
There are places to go, people who will help you.
It’s mostly women that we hear about,
Men are abused to,
Not reported because of fear and embarrassment,
They need our help too,
I’ve read about those who don’t survive, Don’t be one of them.
