Analysis of Blemished wrist, lamented soul.

Seeking everywhere,
A small piece of heart.
I don’t know where it lies,
But legend says, the heart is where you find yours truly.
I didn’t find it yet, but my search is still on.
I’ve looked into the eyes of my beloved and searched for it,
I knew I was going to find it there,
But I wish I found it there.
It’s still hidden. Kept away from my reach.
As if it doesn’t want to be found out.
I’m welcoming its ardour with open arms,
But it refuses.
Why me?
Why won’t you show yourself?
“Never to you, but maybe to someone else”, a voice told me.
I didn’t listen, I followed the voice and found myself on a roadway to the heart’s hell, the angst of a cynical being.
Where am I?
I wondered.
The trail seemed mournful. Almost as if fate had already jinxed it.
I continued penetrating deep into the angst.
There!
I saw something. It was a spark.
I hastened quickly,
And there it was, the heart.
Who left their heart here? In the middle of the pathway?
I was nearing it,
Only to find.. it was broken?
As I approached it carefully, it bled. Gallons of blood flowing out of the little heart.
It sobbed.
“Why did you come here?”
Was I not supposed to?
“No..”
I examined the cut, it was abyssal.
My eyes widened, because the small world inside this heart, actually belonged to the revered beings I treasured.
It seemed as a relished hallucination.
“Do you not know yet?” it said.
I placed my hand on its cut to stop the bleeding.
But the blood vanished and the little heart looked at me,
“How will you fix your broken heart when there’s no one but yourself to heal it?” It whimpered.
I took a step back.
The small moments which I treasured were now sucked dry,
My heart seemed hollow.
It was an ocean,
But of darkness and despair.
No.. this can’t be my heart..
I cried. Take me back! Take me back to those times!
The small waves of blood appeared, it looked like a creeper.. crawling in search of my body,
“Run!” my little heart screamed,
I squirmed on the sorrowful pathway, trying to get away, but the blood wrapped itself around me,
Like a Serpent.
It clenched me,
Suffocating me with its catastrophic long tail,
Little heart died while seeing me agonise in pain.
It shed a beautiful tear, of a crystal,
I saw my reflection on it, but she looked dull and sorrowful; whispered,” Die.”
I was just.. trying to fix my little shattered heart
But I got fooled by my cherished.
For they showed me the way,
And I followed their woeful trail,
Not knowing I had been deceived,
For It was trust which brought me here,
And deception which would depart me from here,
For I’ll never acquit them of this grave felony,
For I will never learn to seek benevolence of their caliginous heart,
For I know! Love was never my ally,
This malignant fire of love ought to be extinguished!
Because love is rather vile.
Sickening to feel, and heinous to know;
Was all I ever spoke.
Because the tall bloody whip rounded my neck,
And made my skin pale,
So pale that a dead body looked different from my corpse.

Ah..
The blade cut through,
Not my heart, but my wrist.
It hurt,
It drained my body,
But it didn’t matter.
Because,
I am just a forlorn soul, without my little heart. Bewitched by love and entangled in the sin of loving.

About this poem

I believe myself to be a sensitive person by nature, so I do get hurt easily. I maybe fragile but I still stand strong among others, even if I'm afraid. I'm learning to be confident, but sometimes when I break down, it leaves cut on my little heart which isn't easily mendable. Everyone goes through different heartbreaks. I really want to express in this poem about how a person feels when they go through a heartbreak. Shattered and lonely. But it also makes you cautious and beware so that you don't hurt yourself. Please do give it a read!
