Analysis of Subjugation

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

I have had it.
Enough.
And refuse to subject myself,
To personal subjugation.
No more.
I'm done.

'Well stated.
Whatever that should mean,
Only to you to make it sense.
Although eloquent.
And I...
I am trying to imagine,
That is why you rented a row boat.
To row yourself towards the horizon.
In the midst,
Of a threatening hurricane.
And in ocean waves,
Already rising higher not to notice...
A beginning to flood and sink that boat.
A boat you claim of a wanting to row away...
From being subjected,
To a personal subjugation!
Tell me...
Am I imagining more,
Than my lieing eyes deceive?'

Is there any peace I can get anywhere?
What does a freedom to have it mean to you?

'You know...
Just a few short months ago.
If I had heard you or anyone say to me,
That what I am seeing these days to believe.
I would have thought to myself,
There must be a reason...
Behind the 'why',
People choose to do the most...
Crazy and outrageous stupid things.
Just for the attention to get for themselves.
But you...
Clearly alone and by yourself too?
However you get that freedom to express it?
With a choice to face,
The possibility of your life to live...
Being replaced by death.
And not another race?
Who am I to say or compare you with others.
Who are publicly displaying...
Their normacly of a freedom to have it.
Is a proving to show to everyone,
Just how far out of their damn minds...
They can be!'

So...
You don't think,
My wanting to row away in flooding row boat.
Is crazy?

'Months ago? Yes!
Today?
My only suggestion to you would be,
Is to await for better weather...
To row your boat.
Allow the water to dry out of it.
And consider renting a much bigger one.'

A bigger one?
Why?

'If you happen to decide you want company.'

Company? Like who?

'Here.
Take my cell number.
I was about to throw my phone away.
Or break it to pieces.
To have the Seagulls believe,
The pieces were snails.
But...
If you want to,
We can discuss that...
When the weather is better.'

Only if you promise me one thing.
All that talk about,
Replacement and critical race theories...
Will be left behind us.
And not a destination,
To prove a pursuing to achieve results!

'Results?
Are you kidding?
Why do you think I am standing here.
Taking my clothes off.
With no boat to row.
Preparing myself,
To walk towards the ocean.
In the midst of a threatening and dangerous,
Hurricane warning definitely to come.
And I don't even know,
What subjugation means!'

It means...
No.
No, you were not?

'And...
Whatever that should mean.
Yes...
Yes, I was!
Close to giving up my naked butt,
To the sharks.
Daring them to refuse dark meat!'
