Analysis of What Love can Create
Iverson Taylor Smith 2004 (Oregon)
I just want to thank you for your family
Everything you guys have been in my life.
Every moment, smile, laugh and game we've played is a memory
That's stained my brain.
It's hard to explain but when I think about your family and the love you've created
I get this feeling that every part of my childhood I missed I get to live again.
Playing Basketball with Shep, or making Legos with Ozzy are things I wished I had in my life when I was younger, someone to be a big brother too.
I think the most meaningful part of your family is your influence or the things you've said that might have stuck with me longer than it did you.
Seeing me grow in every aspect from handshakes to hugs.
From ice breakers to learning to juggle in the kitchen.
Things I wish my father was there for and taught me but never could.
Your family has shown me what it's like to be valued and for that I can never thank you enough.
I've always dreamt of what it would be like to have a family like that one
you've created with love and care for each person and body, each soul you've spent time knowing from a child to now.
I wish my mother was here to give me those big sweet hugs or smile when she sees me knowing the positive energy I bring.
The feeling of the first time I met your family and we all had dinner holding hands bringing together two family traditions made me feel so welcome.
So Thank you for every ounce of your kindness it has led me to become a better person, thank you for your daughter for raising an amazing soul she has changed my life in so many ways with all of her healing i imagine she got from her mom.
I only wish I could make her the happiest person in the world, each day or even at prom
But the comfort I feel with you guys makes the world feel calm.
I truly love you guys
I want to dump my heart onto these pages and talk about the world that I've been through for you to understand my stages.
The homelessness, abuse, neglect I've faced has made me into who I am today
To look you guys in the eye and smile because I've seen darker days.
I am not perfect but I am subject to change. Life is strange with how the cards are dealt.
But the universe couldn't have blessed me enough.
Who would've guessed that this is how my feelings were confessed
With true heart is the only way I can be expressed.
Through meeting y'all I've progressed and by all means, it was never a contest.
