Analysis of The Queen's Crown
The weight of the queen's crown and the burden that it bears
It penetrates her skull, sunk deep in her flesh
A constant reminder of her looming responsibility
She cannot run or hide or find disguise
Against the things that she may fear the most
Because a queen cannot express cowardice
In the face of her people who depend on her
The blood drips down from her thorny headpiece
From her temple, caressing her cheek
And along her tight jaw
Because donning royalty means being impaled with each of the kingdoms woes
Not once can she grieve on her own
For her will must be as strong as her might
With her sword and helmet being forged by the hardest of gold

About this poem
A queen has to make important decisions for her kingdom, even if it means to sacrifice. I try to convey this within my poem.
