Analysis of MALIGNANT TERRORS

Phil Roberts 1957 (Melbourne)

Malignant terrors are stalking
Around a moonlight town,
Searching for the unwary
Before the moon goes down.

They sneak along dark alleys
Seeking  out human prey,
To worry, harry, murder
Before the break of day.

Malevolent beasts come out
To quest throughout the night,
Hoping to catch late travellers
To eviscerate upon first sight.

Malignant terrors are stalking
As they hunt the silent streets,
Scouring the darkened ways
Devouring all they meet.

Slinking after midnight
While innocents are sleeping,
Fiends come out to hunt
Around the town, they're creeping.

Horrors come out to play
With living things they snatch,
Pursuing animals or people
To slaughter all they catch.

Malignant terrors are stalking
The guileless walking out late,
Unwary of death approaching
Unknowing their impending fate.
