World of satire.
Satire of satires.
A Senryu poem.
Can you imagine.
What life would be like.
If there were no death.
Though time would still past.
People would never perish.
Life without meaning!
Without a surprise.
Imagination would cease.
Dreams would never start.
Day would seem like night.
Time would be a foolish thing.
Night would seem like day.
The world predictive.
Children would cease from wonder.
Schooling a bother.
Wars might even cease.
No ends to justify means.
Peace with no limits.
Viewing his new world.
The pessimist might decry:
“The ‘New’ is the ‘Old.’”
Viewing his mindset.
The eternal optimist.
Sees Hope everywhere.
Mind not this message.
For this is just a poem.
A poet’s rambling.
Word of satire.
Satire of satires.
A Senryu poem.

About this poem
Just imagine living in another dimension of time where one would never grow old or would never die. How tolerable would such a world be? For some, it would be a dream come true. For others, it would be a nightmare. This thought is made for all to note: The silver lining of the optimist will always outshine the dark clouds of the pessimist. This composition, “A Poet’s Rambling,” is written in the format of an extended ten-stanza Japanese senryu poem highlighting the irony of life in all of its expectations; and that life without suffering, has no meaning. more »
