Analysis of Squawk Walkers

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

People seeking to be entertained,
Arrive and leave their evaluations done...
On the quality of the performance.
And rarely on the substance.
To identify what it was,
Remembered to benefit...
As was done to deliver and welcomed.

Smiling tongue twisting double talkers,
Ranting in a cadence...
Emotionally captivating.
And staged effectively to leave,
People left screaming vehemently.
To know...
By those squawking while walking away,
Experienced in talking the talk...
With more of it tossed about,
From a lowered voice.
Then raised until a shouting...
Is spewed out of one's mouth.
That's all today it is about.

One's performance.
And the ability to have it believed,
A captivating performance...
Absent of beneficial substance,
No where in sight or mind kept to leave.
Will be promoted,
As the greatest experience on Earth...
That has much more value,
If it witnessed to observe...
Live and in-person.

'I'm telling you,
What I saw to experience...
Took my breath away.'

'I have heard that said.
What is it that makes this performance,
That awesome?'

'The lighting of the stage, of course.
With sound effects.
The videos and pre-recorded music.
The use of the smoke machine.
Then...
Up from the stage,
Rise twerking dancers.
Repeating...
TAKE IT, TAKE IT, TAKE TAKE TAKE IT!'

'Uh...hmmm...
Take what?'

'The fantasticness of it all.
Then...
This dude,
Dressed in a red sequined suit.
Top hat.
Ten inch Stiletto heels.
Adorned in a fifteen foot,
Golden cape.
Dragging behind him.
Starts to scream...
I WILL IF YOU LET ME TRY.
I WILL IF YOU LET ME.
LET ME LET ME LET LET LET...
THIS BIRD STING THOSE BEES.

The audience went wild.
This went on for about an hour.
It was great!'

'And...
You actually paid for this?'

'Yes.
Not only was it,
An informative, moving experience.
It touched me in places,
No hand has ever been.'

'I see.
And...uh...
What was it that left you so mesmerized?
The content and substance,
Of the message?
Or...
The lack of it?'

'I really can't say.
It was some kind of spiritual connection,
I can't describe or explain.'

'And...
This 'spiritual awakening' of yours,
Cost you how much?'

'The main character,
Sitting high above the audience.
Kept saying...
HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS,
TO PAY FOR CHEAP THRILLS.
IS BETTER TO DO TO SATISFY NEEDS,
TO BELIEVE YOURS.
TEASED BEFORE YOUR LIEING EYES.
REMEMBER...
TO GIVE WILL BE RECEIVED,
IMMEDIATELY.
IT'S NEVER ABOUT THE MONEY.
IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT,
WHO DO YOU TRUST TO MAKE...
A BETTER IMPRESSION WITH IT.'

'Again.
How much...did you...pay...for that?!'

'I'm not going to say.
Because you might think,
A one time payment...
Tax free.
On a Five Hundred Dollar down payment,
Of a lifetime guarantee...
To be blessed for the rest of my life.
With updated twerking lessons.
Is a dumb thing to commit to do.
When I am barely surviving...
On an hourly minimum paycheck!'

'Why would you think I would think that?'

'The way you are looking at me,
Like my mate will probably do.
When I get home.'

'Take my...
Suggestion as a recommendation,
And as an advice to advise...
From my unsolicited,
But hopefully not to go ignored opinion!
Do not...
By any means.
Mention what you've done.
To believe...
Your mate will think what you've done,
Is an act expected of a genius.
With a hugging to squeeze you so tight.
You lose consciousness.
Uh...ummm...I...
Better yet,
Be proactive.'

'Proactive?
What do you mean?'

'Go to the police department.
And claim your mate has threatened you,
With certain death.
Unavoidable.'

'That's crazy.
Why would I do something like that.
Unproven to be disbelieved?'

'I did say...
Be proactive!
Don't wait until your mate,
Does something I would have done...
To have it believed.
And...
I might have enjoyed!
Never assume,
What you may regard as brilliant.
That someone else,
Just may have a different reaction.'

'And...
The police?
What do you think,
They will do?'

'Put you in a nice jacket.
And place you in a comfortable room.
Trimmed in pads.
From floor to ceiling.
To keep you safe as if a precious jewel.'
