Analysis of Subject Matter

I wish the walls weren’t so thin
So they could block out the noise
The voices in this house couldn’t be more resounding

But I’m not the subject so why does it matter?

They don’t shout at me
But I can still hear

Yelling
Crying

I’ve tried to tell them to quiet down
I can't focus on my chemistry
Or my thoughts

It’s not for my ears
But I can’t help it
These walls are too thin.
