Analysis of SHE THANKED HIM

Thank you for entertaining her in her boring days.
You made her smile in your own simple ways.
You inspired her in her own fairy tale story -
You're her Prince Charming and she's the Princess;
You're her Knight in Shining Armour and she's the Damsel in Distress.
She's aware you don't believe in fantasy and magic
But she is indeed hopelessly romantic.
For you, she's just a fiction;
She only exist in your imagination.

Thank you for all the emotional abuse she'd got.
She became weak and vulnerable.
She's sorry, she'd been too attached.
She's sorry for being clingy.
She's sorry for over demanding.
She's sorry for being annoying.
Thank you for all the disappointments you gave her.
She was weak but not destroyed.
She was vulnerable but never broke.

Thank you for hurting her.
At least she's now stronger.
You said you'll catch her
But then you let her fall.
Thank you because you made her grow.
She knew she will lose you
But she has more to gain.
Thank you for the pain.
You taught her and learned her lesson.

Thank you for avoiding her.
She had known her worth.
She now understands that your "no response" is a response.
She's just silly enough not to accept the fact.
It is better to be hated
Than being ignored.
Thank you for saving her from future heartache.
Thank you because she love herself more.
Thank you she will now move on.

Thank you for the time you spent with her.
At least she felt once you cared.
You have touched her without your hands;
You have touched her heart and you will stay there.
Soon you will forget her but somehow you will remember:
Once you had a crazy admirer
Who was brave enough to confess and admit her feelings for you.
She is now signing off
And promised she will never disturb you again.

About this poem

Inspired by Ariana Grande's Thank You Next. The girl loved a boy. She had been hurt. Experienced pain. Disappointed. Learned. Continue to love. Known her worth and love herself more. She made all disappointments her motivation to move on. Brave girl! :-)
