No one dared to stand up and take a Covid-19 game bet
They expected Messi, the star player, to make eyes wet!
The first-quarter whistle blew. Ball kicked downfield
2021 Copa America final is off to a start—this is now real
Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro, this is the—real deal
Many gathered around their TV sets—some in suspense
Brazil has the ball, passed it around, Mario intercepts.
Maria switched the ball right to left foot, he knew his part
Goalie took bait, came out, scoop shot over—his head
Moving like alternating current—that’s not dead
With flip of the switch, goalie blinked, and it was done!
In Argentina voice shouted, “GOOOOAAAAAAALLLLLL!”
Brazil’s Neymar pulled out some maneuvers on the run
Too late! Argentina had already had—the goal kicked
Left foot flip, ball scooting over the—goalie's head
Before they knew it, the goal net turned red as the sun
The championship means much to many who are ready!
Argentina’s 28 years shutout disappeared with a scooping shot
Brazil now shutdown by Argentina, they are—now on top
Not much more to say; Argentina ends—the day
Taking the 2021 Copa America Trophy their way
The champions received their medals and shinning trophies.
Brazil eating green from falling, they didn’t have their way
Every cat drinks delicious milk, so many—people say
Brazil will have to settle for running river water—today
Argentina will sip nice chocolate milk and is here to stay
Going home with the 2021 Copa America Trophy their way!

Saludos, amigos míos de la gracia de Dios. Rezo para que cada uno de ustedes derrote al Covid-19 y viva una vida llena de gracia.
El sábado 10 de julio del 21 se celebra el último Campeonato Sudamericano de Fútbol entre Brasil y Argentina para la Copa América 2021 en Río de Janeiro. Brasil fue el favorito para ganar en su propio terreno contra Argentina. Los jugadores estrella y futbolistas más influyentes del planeta, Messi de Argentina y Neymar de Brasil, se abrazaron. Todos esperaban grandes acciones de ellos. Argentina se impuso, anotando el primer gol, ganando con Brasil ninguno. Mostraron gran júbilo, abrazos, fuegos artificiales, apretones de manos y camaradería. Argentina viste sus camisetas Champeones De América 2021. ¡Gran juego! Todos se divirtieron.

About this poem
Greetings, my dear brothers and sisters of God’s inspirational grace, and I pray that each of you will defeat Covid-19 and live a gracious life with your loved ones and family members. On Saturday, July 10, 2021, in South America was the final day of the South America soccer championship game between Brazil and Argentina. They squared off for the 2021 Copa America final on Saturday night in Rio de Janeiro. Brazil was favored to win on their home turf against Argentina, the underdog. The star players and most influential soccer players on the planet, Messi from Argentina and Neymar from Brazil, touched base and hugged each other on the way to the field. Everyone expected great things and actions from them. In the end, the underdog Argentina prevailed, scoring the first goal, eventually winning with Brazil none. The end was a great time of jubilation, hugs, kisses, high fives, handshakes, picture takings, and camaraderie. Argentina now wears its “Champeones De America 2021” shirts with fireworks lighting up the sky. What a surprise; however, everyone had some fun.
