Analysis of HAPPINESS

Happiness is that quiet blissful state of mind,
where one is not wanting ever more to find,
an unspoken gratitude for what you have,
one of peace and contentment with self.
Happiness is that quiet blissful state of mind,
One of a kind.

Happiness is not wanting ever more
but in appreciating what you already store
grateful for things even if they are meagre
because hankering after still more
is a recipe for creeping disaster.
Happiness is that quiet blissful state of  mind,
when it’s all peaceful and we are kind.

Just like a sculptor curves a grandeur out of a stone
he does that by chipping it out with a chisel shone
so can we make room in our heart and soul,
peace and happiness by rooting out mole
and scoop out  mountains of worries
and  terrains of bad memories,
because just as the artist brings the hidden beauty out of a concrete granite
so can we reveal our deep seated joy by being cathartic.
Happiness is that blissful state of mind
all the time.

Happiness is not wanting more
no joy in just craving further galore
but content with what you already have
pleased that you don’t have to dab.
A blissful mind is that happiness in kind.

Happiness is the twinkle in the eye
and the giggle of a baby in the arms
of its mother as it gazes on high
at its mother’s face and yarns.

Happiness is the spectacle of a toddler now beaming with joy, next tears with a blubber
whilst waddling with a toy in his grasp
here and there it’s unsure of its clasp
and it’s legs as stable
as a wobbly table.

Happiness is seeing your child
going to the kindergarten
playing with other children
in the backyard garden.
Learning and getting on with others
every turn and corner again
plenty to see and wonder,
life in the making, here and yonder.
Happiness is not wanting more and more
but happy to enjoy what you already store.

Happiness is seeing your child sound
growing up in bounces and bounds
turning the corner to be a teenager
soon they may even be an  adult reveller.

Happiness is the fruit of your trials and tribulations
in raising your children to be responsible citizens
successful in service to the population.
Happiness is  not desiring more all the time,
happy at keeping your wants checked in line.

Happiness is when you marry your children off
walking your daughter down the aisle
every one knows it’s an ask so tough
but you do anyway and walk more a mile
an incredible feat for a father
to give away his daughter.

Soon  the nest they have left
and away they  have settled
children of their own
around you now assembled
and you are now the new  retired people
glad to put your feet up in slippers purple.
Yes, happiness is not wanting more and more
but joyful for what you already store.

Happiness is solitude with peace in mind
all the seniors now of a similar kind
no turmoils of their daily grinds
reminiscing with their nostalgic minds.

Happiness is the first warmth on your face
when you wake up and gaze
at the rising sun in the horizon,
the glow you can warmly embrace
from a million miles away in the  space,
the sun slowly rising above the skyline
radiating it’s brilliant orange shine
gladdens your heart with a song in your mind.
This is happiness sublime.

Happiness is the crisp morning newspaper
in your hands with tea and the banter
solid in the knowledge you can again be in slumber
no rush, no panic out in the daily asunder.

Happiness is coming across a gorgeous flower
when least expecting as you turn a corner
be it bluebells, hyacinths or peonies
vibrant colours in all nature’s glories.
Happiness is there for all us to feel
it’s not money that can buy these.

Happiness is simply being alive.
Spending time with family and friends
will lift your spirits and your day brightened
Go outdoors for fresh air and sunlight mother nature will nurture and abide.

Help someone known or even a stranger
Random acts of kindness like in a manger
Smile and hug all those you care for
Be grateful even for the small things in life
and count your blessings for ever.
Happiness will be yours for longer.

Find joy in the present moment
even if you have problems
throw them to the back of your mind
and find peace in the present.

Happiness is a brisk walk out in the open,
one with nature
in all its beauty and splendour
calmness and peace to treasure
in your mind and soul with vigour.

Happiness  is also in a work out in the gym
washing away your nerves and ‘sins’
what a joy then to eat out in the open
a prepared breakfast with tea toast and bacon
mindful of the little blessings in our lives
a concerted effort to strike away our strifes.

Happiness should be taken seriously.
Mindfulness and meditation are like magic potion,
more authentic than faith healers really.
Happiness can be for every body in devotion.

Happiness manifests so vociferously
when greeted by your pet after a hard day.
The greeting is so much heartfelt spontaneously
which make you instantly gay,
this is pure and simple happiness in your bay.

Music and art are the food of the soul
Nurture them to your advantage
And Happiness will be yours in adage.

Happiness is avoiding regrets and guilts
And not compare  ourselves with the Joneses
Foster good relationships with people around you
Life will then likely get you through.

Life is a small gift
between birth and death
So be in this gap and lift
yourself to be happy and
enjoy every minute and sift.

Happiness is also knowing that the mirth
of even the happiest person on earth
cannot be there all the time
just like me and you not always sublime
because this person knows that
good times come with bad
in time bad moods shall pass swimming  away
as surely as the sun fades after the day
and as often as the rainbow dawns
after the storms.

Oh , Happiness, Happiness , that illusion of illusions,
Happiness, Happiness , is it a mirage that can be real in the end?
