Analysis of COMEUPPANCE
Fidelis Peter Olowu 1982 (Agbarho Kingdom)
Dancing a special kind of waist dance
To impress those who watch from behind
And insult those who watch from front
Draws a battle line for a battle
Which must someday be fought by warriors
Who'll feast on flesh, bath with blood
Chanting war songs and beating war drums
To which you'll have to dance again
You lose your peace but know not
It only becomes crystal clear to you
When tomorrow becomes today and today yesterday
The bridge to the past is gone
No way to travel back into history
And no way to right your wrongs
Your dance in the future, is to,
The music you played in the past.
