Analysis of Nowhere To Run

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

When there is nowhere to run.
Or anyone else to accuse and blame.
For what has been done.
And only one is witnessed seen,
Looking back horrified.
Away from a scene screaming in fear.
Suspicions immediately,
Become quickly limited...
As to who knows what.
Hoping to save,
Their own frightened butt.
Seeking relief to have believe,
Of having nothing to know.
Or being involved with something,
They are heard to declare to happen.
To swear they were not there,
Yet...
Others,
Victimized by lies and deception...
Had been arrested for being accomplices.
With their names and addresses given.
By the one still running and looking back.
Leaving arresting authorities,
In disbelief...
That those who fit,
The description of being...
Criminals, Crooks and information,
Received.
Would attempt to try to identify,
Someone innocently running away...
As the one who has committed crimes.
But is nowhere on their list,
Kept to keep profiled.
With an ease to imprison.
Regardless of the evidence given.
Ignoring the truth and proof,
Of 'their' declaration of being innocent!

'We are innocent.
Observing by-standers watching this.
Have told you that.
Why are you not listening to them?'

'It's too obvious to us!'

'They were paid to provide,
You all with a cover up.
Pointing to someone running away.
Trying to escape,
From being accused and abused...
For something 'you folks',
Always try to blame on others.
Running away.
Wanting not to be involved!
And nowhere do they appear,
On our list to profile...
As corrupted thieves or deceivers.
Comeon!

When will you folks learn,
To stop making excuses for yourselves?!
God knows we are doing our best.
Why can't you do the same?'

'None of us were blessed,
To be entitled to have that privilege!'

'Here we go again.
Attempting to use the race card.
When everyone knows,
Reality shows...
Our activities,
Have nothing to do with race.
Or decisions we make on a daily basis.
Grow up and smell the coffee.
Instead of that other stuff.
Keeping you drugged and deluded!
