Analysis of Alicia's Poem

Corina H. Ramirez 1964 (San Angelo)

The first time I
Held you in my arms,
You laid by my side
And you felt so warm.

Who is this that I see
It's my beautiful baby girl,
She has lots of black hair
And lots of pretty curls.

Right from the start
I felt the vine,
I feel it in my heart,
That you were all mine.

God gave you to me
You were sent from above,
He knew I'd be pleased
You'll always be loved.

Thank You Lord Jesus
Whose love is ever true,
His Word to guide our living
Beneath your skies of blue.
