Analysis of Three Legged Dog”
Ken Carroll 1957 (Biloxi)
As I was walking about
I came across
a three legged dog
he was behind a fence...
He barked as is if to say hello
that he was doing just fine
that he could do everything
a four legged dog could do
he did not view himself
as handicapped
He barked and wagged his tail
he didn't say life wasn't fair
I think he was trying to say
he's just like any other dog...
I stopped and pet his head
and began to think
this three legged dog
does better than most
two legged people..
