Some traveling over many miles

Their only want, to ease the pain
And replace our frowns with smiles.

Giving up all the comforts of home
They took up our struggles to share

Where do unborn babies go
Who never got to know their soul
Nor we they ever given a choice.

Killed before drawing their first breathe
Innocent victims, sentenced to death
I feel the pain in their unheard voice.

Mama, what did I ever do

She was the book, he never read
the untold story... others said
The rarest book, of any kind
pages written, from heart and mind
This wondrous book she gifted him
the only edition, lovingly penned
written with ink, of blood and tears
raw...

I finally agreed when he turned eight
To build his ' Castle in the sky'
With wooden steps nailed up the side
Just so he could climb that high.

Four walls, about six feet tall
Although not exactly square
And little windows on every side
So...

The doctors said he couldn't live
Just two years, that's all they'd give
Cancer soon would eat his little bones away.

He didn't cry when he lost his hair
But wore that stocking cap everywhere
And only took it off to sleep and pray.
