we swayed in the same winds soaked the same sun drenched in the same rains and provided nests to our loved ones life and joy developed in and around us we accepted our fate without a fuss cruel nature destined our misery put us so close yet so far grew together and yet apart
we can look, we can smile we can talk we can touch but with an extended arm
you can’t move an inch and nor can I you long for a hug that would be too brave and your sweet embrace is all that I crave
we stand there waiting for centuries for the Earth to move, the skies to open and the Apocalypse to strike once and for all so that in each other’s lap we can fall
we curse nature and call the creator brute till He sends a gush of stream and expose the union of our roots there, below the surface was the dance of love our meeting and mating I breathe in you and you in me and that is how it had to be Love - that the world had forbidden flourished underneath secret and hidden
Nature in its kindness quietly connected our roots And from the union a new sapling of love did sprout
I asked the mighty Sun O' strongest of all Giver of life and ever shining bright What is the value of your light He scoffed, turned red and smiled I am light and the Light is me, That is what I know and that is what has to be.
I then asked the Moon O lover of night What is that makes you swoon It is me and my moonlight I exist for her and she for me For I am dead, without her Even for moments slight
I asked the shy crimson rose O beautiful of all , pleasure to eye, fragrance to nose What is that you fear most to lose?
Neither my color, nor my hue The silky feel and the sweet glue It is the aroma and the fragrance Yes, that is my being and my life's essence
I stood before the river O' greatest sculptor of all And the eternal giver Without what shall you cease to flow It is neither the rain or the snow Or the life developing in me in all joy and glow It is each drop of my being Including the pure morning dew That forms me up Even if few and slow
And you the recipient of my eternal kiss You tell me I don't miss You the light of the sun and the moon You for which the river flows and the rose blooms think I don't bother and miss For, akin the sun, moon , rose and the river Every moment I live for you That is simply stating My existence and my bliss And still, you ask me whether I miss... ..... we swayed in the same winds
soaked the same sun
drenched in the same rains
and provided nests to our loved ones
life and joy developed in and around us
we accepted our fate without a fuss
cruel nature destined our misery
put us so close
yet so far
grew together and yet apart
we can look,
we can smile
we can talk
we can touch
but with an extended arm
you can’t move an inch
and nor can I
you long for a hug
that would be too brave
and your sweet embrace is all that I crave

and the Apocalypse to strike once and for all
so that in each other’s lap we can fall

till He sends a gush of stream
and expose the union of our roots
there, below the surface
was the dance of love
our meeting and mating
I breathe in you
and you in me
and that is how it had to be
Love - that the world had forbidden
flourished underneath
secret and hidden
Nature in its kindness
quietly connected our roots
And from the union
a new sapling of love did sprout
O' strongest of all
Giver of life and ever shining bright
What is the value of your light
He scoffed, turned red and smiled
I am light and the Light is me,
That is what I know and that is what has to be.
I then asked the Moon
O lover of night
What is that makes you swoon
It is me and my moonlight

For I am dead, without her
Even for moments slight
I asked the shy crimson rose

What is that you fear most to lose?
Neither my color, nor my hue
The silky feel and the sweet glue
It is the aroma and the fragrance
Yes, that is my being and my life's essence
I stood before the river
O' greatest sculptor of all
And the eternal giver
Without what shall you cease to flow
It is neither the rain or the snow
Or the life developing in me in all joy and glow
It is each drop of my being
Including the pure morning dew
That forms me up
Even if few and slow
And you the recipient of my eternal kiss
You tell me I don't miss
You the light of the sun and the moon
You for which the river flows and the rose blooms

For, akin the sun, moon , rose and the river
Every moment I live for you
That is simply stating
My existence and my bliss
And still, you ask me whether I miss...
