I live in Phelan Ca. It is a small town in the High Desert of Southern Ca. I live with my husband and youngest daughter. I've raised six children. I am self employed and have a business of Vinyl Repair, upholstery and silk flower design. I graduated from Rubidoux High School. I went to Business College in Santa Fe New Mexico. I've only been writing poetry for about 14 months. I'm very surprised that I can write it so easily. I've had one poem published and three more to be published this year. I never knew I could write poetry.

Her Honey

The first time she met him, she knew he was the one.
His dark hair and dark eyes, their friendship had just begun.
And as their love grew, she then became his wife.
She promised to stay with him the rest of her life.
She called him her honey and she was so proud.
Walking next to him, was like walking on a cloud.
Her honey was a worker and he had a bright mind.
He had a lot of friends, because he was so kind.
They worked hard together at each other's side.
Then one day her honey got sick and he died.
She's lost her honey and his name was Raul.
And he'll certainly be missed by her most of all.
He was always there, when his friends needed him.
And I'm sure he is missed by everyone of them.
And now she's alone, but yet she is not.
Her honey lives on, because he'll never be forgot.
When you can say you've had a good life.
You have done all you could to be a good wife.
Then remember your honey in all that you do.
Life will go on, and in time so can you.
