Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Born & Raised: 9-17-71, Milwaukee, WI. Mother: Laverne Gardner. Daughters: Kayla & Kalisha. I'm presently single. I've been writing poetry since late teens. I've been published by The International Library of Poetry. I look forward to publishing a book some day. Presently in school for bookkeeping & accounting. Writing poetry keeps me sane in the worse predicament. I became intrigued with poetry, because it's a unique way to express the outer-self & inner-self. Like religion--poetry is a way of life for me. I hope my poetry helps or inspires others.

Understanding

My mind is on a mission
because love works magic like a magician...
So someone who dares to have emotions
is a person who believes in devotions...
Devoted only to one man that's true
who can understand you for you...
so to begin let me start
I have a very UNDERSTANDING HEART!!!

The moonlight
the essential to
the darkness
sharing space
with the stars
as they glow
sparkling bright
with such a meaning
servicing grand purpose
DECORATING OUR NIGHTS...

In Search Of Love

I walked many different roads,
never finding a rainbow.
Not even on those rainy days,
that prevented me from going on my way.
Yet, I remained hopeful,
in search of something beautiful.
That wouldn't never fade way,
or in years to come, wouldn't decay
This is my goal & greatest mission,
if successful, I'll be content under any condition.
Simply because my journey came from up above,
Yes indeed, I'm In Search of Love!!!

Take Me Higher

Lift my mind from the pit
Then the body element of physicalness can't resist
Move me with inspirational words
Show these eyes beauty in the twilight
For the known is dark adventure
The capable isn't a sin free life
The shocking is serving an unworthy purpose
TAKE ME HIGHER
Touch my soul with the flame of faith
So I can't deny the divineness of fate
Push me with motivational deeds
inform these ears of deeper peace
Seeing we've inherited shame,
Clinged tightly to worldly things
& embraced things truly bad for the heart
I WISH TO BE TAKEN HIGHER.!?
