Thomas is an idealist, visionary and romanticist who has written over 3,000 poems since age four. He is the author of Peace, Love and Joy, Winston Derek, 1988. Kennedy soon will author Poetry of the 50 States, W. D., 1998. He will be the first poet to write a poem on each state. Kennedy hopes to author future poetry books. Kennedy is a former teacher in the South Hadley School system and was the recipient of many science grants. Kennedy is a well known motivational speaker and has been an advocate for health planning, as well as being active  for three decades in environmental affairs. He is a Founder, Charter Trustee, and Director of the Volleyball Hall of Fame. Kennedy is a graduate of Western New England College, Elms College, and the University of Massachusetts. He started the basketball program, the first newspaper, and student council desk while attending WNEC.  He is also a member and graduate of the United States Olympic Academy and is a member of the Homer Honor Society of World Poets. He is married to his wife, Judy, and has three children: Kevin, twins Kara and Tommy, and one grandchild, Aaron. Kennedy's hobbies are writing, public speaking, and basketball. His loves are poetry and nature. His philosophy is to "radiate his spirit of love before knowledge and his gentle grace will walk softly in your heart. Love everyone, help everyone and never, never, never give up on anyone."
