Birth Of Darkness

In the distance
A delicate picture forms, within the background of hills
Birds fly...screaming in the sunset
The trees reach up to heaven, until
The light conceives darkness
The colors blend, spanking the sky
The sun is waving beams...hello to the night
Congratulations, goodbye
The moon nurses the stars, they grow...brighter in the sky
Their twinkling light, now a reflection of love
In your eyes
Your touch is gentle
As we share this miracle, I pray
Thank you Lord...for delivering darkness, so beautifully
From the womb...of the day

Rearview Mirror Image

An image in my rearview mirror..., and image in my past,
I see you..., standing there..., that dream, is fading fast.
The clouds of dust..., lingering, are captured by the wind.
Tossed and turned.., then released, thrown to the ground again.
The trees slowly bow over.., waving their fragile limbs goodbye.
The storm is catching up with me.., tears from heaven.., one last cry.
Faster..faster.., I have to go.., clear skies are up ahead.
Sunbeams filter through the glass.., drying tears I"ve shed.
Goodbye to you.., once my love.., the storm is gone at last.
An image in my rearview mirror.., an image in my past

A Gift From God

You were born inside me.., the sweet Lord put you here,
To guide me through all the pain, to dry my deepest tear.
Others tried to sap me dry, taking all that I could give.
But still I kept pushing on, for you, I had to live.
Others bruised my heart, others made me cry.
But they couldn't break my soul, although they sure did try.
I was crucified by satans fools, on that splintered cross of love.
But I had strength, I had you, I had God above.
I believe in heaven, God knows this is true.
So he led me down the path, the path that led to you.
I feel heaven in your arms, I feel safe, and so secure
I feel the depth of your love, honest and so pure.
I feel all your warmth, as your heart melts into mine.
Now we're joined, A gift from God, together, for all time
