Cheryl Kemp, Radiology Secretary at St. Joseph's Hospital, was accepted by the Board of Directors and Advisory Committee of The National Library of Poetry on September 9, 1998. She is now in the process of finishing her book "Inspirational Journey; Life In All Aspects." This book is dedicated to inspiring people of all walks of life who, as she puts it, "have walked a mile in my shoes!" Two of the poems included in her book of inspirational poems are "On Bended Knee"( dedicated to the Tough Love Organization—A Parent's Plea) and "Written In Stone" (a tribute to the Mother's Against Gangs), powerful foot work behind the child's eyes. She also states that in the near future her vision to work with the hearing impaired. "Children are here to teach us about ourselves, the side we don't want see."

Earth Cry

Mother Earth calls for her children to stand tall to take
Responsibility for all.

Give life to life.

Take the time to relieve someone else's strife.

Give life.

They cry out to each other to help one another,
Whether it's replacing a frown with a smile, whether it's
Giving a hug to an adult starving for affection, who's been
Rejected in many directions.

Give life.

Replace the things that you have taken for granted from
The earth.
She's given you her most precious gifts, replace a tree,
Where one has been destroyed.
Replace the plant life that has been destroyed by fire.
Replace prejudice with no fear and enhance positive
Understanding, with respect for each other and the earth
You live on and love so dear, relieve the worry from those
Who have no homes, give them food for thought, as well as their bellies, give a small moment Out of your life to heal
Our wise one's broken heart

Give life to life.

It's time for the children of the world to take the time and
Precedence over others.
Instead of demanding their needs and wants take a few
Precious moments a day to say:

I love you!

By allowing to heal a few moments a day acts as a balm
For Mother Earth,
When you heal her, you will then heal yourself

Peace

Web Of Life

There is a void here. Where there is no time or space. Caught on a web attached to nowhere, no beginning, no end, no place. I lift my head and give voice to be heard, but no sound comes, not even a word. With astounding willpower I find the strength to pull away. I find my voice and this is what I say. Torture me not o' ancient web. Do not allow the past to come hither, but to come in blissful wisdom. The web of life expands like the hourglass which pours forth the sands. Bringing forth the knowledge which is not at hand. The web of time commands?? Vortex called justices stands. All one focus, one cause all under one accord to settle the score to mend what was torn. O' Gabriel blow your heavenly horn.

Humanity On The Edge

There is an enormous phenomenal power merging,
Full pulsating movement through humanity's consciousness
Every man, woman, and child, knows the feeling of demise.

Awakening to the acknowledgment
That has now made them wise.
They have choices now to take,
Their concerns for future generations sake.

Voices speak to give their indignations and wisdom.
While others close their minds, hearts, and won't listen.
Trap in their own visions, illusions made of prisons.
Cutting themselves off from humanity's prisms.

Doors are open to reveal what is not dead but still alive.
God is real his power of love still abides!
The power of unconditional love is the key.
Awaken now and see me!

Humanity on the edge!
God's power broke their power who held that wedge.
Secrets revealed, illusions dispersed,
From the children of God who rode that hearse.

There was a time in George Washington Days,
There was silence before any assembly, word or deed was made
Whatever happened to those people who prayed!
The human consciousness has risen to give voice at bay.
It's time to do it "God's Way"!!!
