Poetry has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Through poetry I can be anyone I choose. My poetry has been published by the National Library of Poetry and I'm currently working on a collection of my own.I am employed as a Quality Engineer and have worked in the Quality field for ten years. Love and Thanks to Mom, Tom, James, Michael, Julie, and Granpa for all your encouragement. A special thanks to my sister Tiffanie, you are the wind beneath my wings.

The Boss

Don't run on the blacktop
Don't talk while you chew
There are too many things that a kid cannot do
Go wash your hands, sit down and eat
Go to your room, don't stomp your feet
Slow down and walk there's no need to run
Stop goofing around, now look what you've done
If I was the boss I'd send grownups to school
I'd put them on restriction whenever they broke a rule
I'd stay up all night and send them to bed
"don't talk back to me mom, you heard what I said"
Go clean up your room, don't come out 'til it's done
If I was the boss, I bet then I'd have fun!

The Game

A seductive glance, a sultry smile
Weapons intended to charm and beguile
They'll be sweet they'll be sexy, whichever they choose
Just two out of many person as they use
Both are effective when asking his name
Deception and lies are a part of the game
No flaw in their makeup they fool many men
As they trap them in webs that they weave out of sin
Blinded by smiles that promise much more
Small chance of surviving the danger in store
The stakes are quite high, everything that you cherish
The winner takes all...The losers all perish
Once you've begun the game goes much faster
A one way ticket to impending disaster
Little by little they take total control
They start with your heart and end up with your soul
They'll ignore all your pleading they'll ignore all your cries
You'll see no compassion as you look in their eyes
So when a game's being played and you're asked to join in
find out all the rules...before you begin

You're Leaving?

Before you say another word make certain that you're sure
That you absolutely, positively don't want me no more
'Cause if you are I promise that I won't stand in your way
In fact I'll even help you pack so you can leave today
Yes I know that it may seem I'm taking this quite well
that's because my life with you has been nothing but hell
So sweetheart here's that second chance for you to do it right
You can finally look for someone else, why don't you start tonight
Don't worry babe I'll be just fine living without you
In fact when you walk out that door I'll be as good as new
Now that I know you're leaving not a thing could spoil my day
Unless of course you change your mind and decide you wanna stay
So goodbye and goodluck in whatever you do
It's over, it's finished...Hallelujah, we're through!
