Syed Khizir Hayat was born in the village Bhatipara, P.S. Derai,under the Shunamgonj Subdivision of Greater Sylhet. His father was late Syed Suruz Ali, mother late Aktarunessa Khanom Chowdhury. His permanent residence in Bangladesh is in the village Kadamhata, P.S Rajnagor, Moulovibazaar. When he was six years of age he began attending Bhatipara Gov't Elementary School. At eleven years old he attended Bhatipara High School. In 1971 he received B.A. degree from Moulovibazaar College. In 1984, his book of poetry was published for the first time, named "Amar Chonder Sharinda" (Bangla). He also was awarded by the National Public Library Literature Competition of Bangladesh District Level, in 1985. Philosophy: "Poetry is an expression of the heart and soul, gifted by the God." |
