Writing poetry is an escape into a fantastic world were I build and create the boundaries. I have written songs that have gone into production, and short story manuscripts. My publications include Poetic Pride, The Descent Into Darkness, and Disclosures From The Heart. They are available through the Internet. I love reading any good book; and I enjoy athletics immensely. My travels abroad into various countries have enriched my desire to write.

Yearnings

The colt wondered through
the forest
As the hot sun pressed down
upon its back
A steady rhythm thumped along
the trail
Then quieted as the colt knelt
down to take a drink of water
from a silent creek
A flock of birds dashed
into the air in a race
As the wind whistled at a
constant steady pace
The colt looked into the thick forest
Feeling the passion of heat
Feeling the embrace of warm air
hug its body
Then it took another glance
at the still creek
Before it galloped off into the
sunset

The Mirror Glass of Life

I see through the glass
covered top
Images of what life is all about
Then look inside myself
The picture includes
some animosity
some high energy
Emotions nevertheless
Feelings all expressed
The mirror glass of life
Sometimes bright
Crowding images in plain sight
Reaching outward
Can't let it be
Too many conceived possibilities

Skyward

It's not the whistling of the wind
that hurts the ear
Nor the drum roll of thunder
that darkens the night
It's a cold neglect
that encloses a heart
It's a chilling whisper
that weakens the mind
It's a wailing spirit
that is unable to fly
