My career originally started as a legal secretary. I opted for a much more rewarding career-being a Mom. I've several publications with the National Library of Poetry in multiple anthologies, as well as The Best of the 90s and The Best of 1997, which is due out in publication in the Summer of 1997. My own book, a compilation of original poetry entitled "Thoughts Of...", is in the process of being published. A book of easy to read, simple to understand, right to the point, rhyming verse. My love for my son, A.J., was my original inspiration to write. I felt that this way, later on in his life, he can look back and read the poetry that his Mom wrote and, perhaps, be proud. "If not for the Lord's blessing of giving my husband, Al, and I this little person, life would certainly not have the same meaning. A.J. is the whole reason that I take my every breath."

Joy Child

No one can imagine what kind of joy
I've gotten from the birth of my little boy
A precious gift form the Lord above
He easily receives all of my love
When I see that smiling face each and every day
My heart goes a flutter, what else can I say
With lottery and such that can be done
Thank you, Lord, for my miracle son
Through your gift, Lord, I have won.

Think About It

Carefully pick and choose your every move
Pick and choose your words
Think about it before you execute it
Think about it before you utter it
All beings have feelings
Whether human or fur
Generate only kindness and love
Your ability to live and be
Is an endearing gift from Above
Think about it.

No Square Wheels

There are no such objects
As square wheels
Remember that as you struggle through
Your rigorous every day ordeals
If you are mean and nasty
The wheels in your life will turn
If you play with matches
You will, in the future, burn
Don't think that in the method you give
A return won't be rendered in the same way
There are no square wheels right now
Soon you will have to pay.
