Take A Closer Walk With God

The pathway is narrow but He holds my hand
as I take a closer walk with God to the promised land.
He brightens the way through burdens and strife
as I take a closer walk with God and eternal life.
Yesterday was full of trouble and sorrow
I lived on "ifs", "maybe's" and "what about tomorrow".
Then one day I heard Him say,
"Come walk with me, I'll show you the way".
I took His hand and began to cry
He said "I love you" and that is why
upon this ground, this holy sod
I can take a closer walk with God.

Do You Ever Wonder

Do You ever wonder why the sun shines so bright?
Do You ever wonder why God gave You sight?
Did He want You to see the warmth and the love
that's symbolized by the little white dove?
Did He want You to see only the sights close at hand,
or the eyes for seeing the love in this land?
Do You ever wonder why You have arms?
Are they for city folks or those on the farms?
Are they just for moving things from place to place,
Or are they to hold your loved ones in embrace?
Do You ever wonder why God gave You ears?
They just seem to grow bigger through the years.
Did He want You to hear all the words of hate,
Or are they for listening to sweet words from your mate?
Do You ever wonder why God gave you feet?
They can run and jump and do a retreat.
Did He want You to use them to stomp and to kick,
Or are they for walking to visit the sick?
Do you ever wonder why God gave You a voice?
You can laugh, You can sing, and You can rejoice.
Did He want you to say some meaningless phrase,
Or to shout Hallelujah, Glory and Praise?!
Do You ever wonder why God gave you a heart?
It can flutter and it can break apart.
Did He want it there just to make the blood flow,
Or is it there so We will know that You and I
were put on this earth to spread His love
and all it's worth!
