I write from the heart, from personal experience and deep loss in my life, I believe God has given men any talent I may have. |
The Golden AgeWith summer's youth behind us nowAnd autumn soon descending Our lives approach a mellow stage With compromise and blending No more contrast of black and white A greyish dawn emerges Our minds replete, our thoughts intact Our soul and spirit surges What happened to uncertainties And phantom chains that bind us? We broke them all and left behind No millstones to remind us A golden age awaits us now The harvest of our living We reap together golden years Of love, of care and giving And when the winter sends its blast We know that we shall weather Because we journeyed life's whole path And lived and loved together |
